​Job Description: Equipment Yard Manager 

MAX Hoist Inc. The Equipment Yard Manager is responsible for:


  • Managing the Yard Personnel, Parts Inventory, Electrical Motor repairs and Equipment Repairs and related activities to ensure the highest quality hoist are ready and available for rent.
  • The Equipment Yard Manager will prepare and issue purchase orders, schedules delivery, receives product, records receipt of product and responsible for timely invoice approvals.
  • Other responsibilities include following and executing safety procedures and ensuring     inventory accuracy handling for hoist materials, yard supplies and power tools.
  • Work is a combination of office and field environments involving various types of conditions encountered in an equipment yard and construction sites including exposure to outside weather and differing field conditions.


​​Duties:

  • Administer all work yard operations and ensure compliance to safety policies.
  • Maintain neat and clean yard at all times.
  • Inventory management of all parts and hoist materials including yard supplies and prepare necessary paperwork.
  • Ensure proper handling of all materials and store it appropriately.
  • Manage procedures, preventative maintenance and major repairs on hoist and small engine equipment.
  • Written and verbal communication with upper management on a daily basis
  • Prioritize work and alter the work schedule to deal with shifting priorities during the workday or week.


​Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience leading a team in a yard or warehouse environment
  • Pass a motor vehicle report review and be able to meet MAX Hoist  driving policy (no major driving violations in the previous 3 years)
  • Requires PC proficiency, with emphasis on Microsoft Office programs such as Excel.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Inventory Management
  • Welding skill and knowledge
  • Machine shop experience and knowledge

​Buck Hoist Maintenance Specialist/ Apprentice

Job Description: Buck Hoist Maintenance Specialist/Apprentice

  • MAX Hoist Inc. is looking for a Maintenance Specialist / Apprentice with experience in the Construction Hoist and Crane Industry.
  • Under the direct supervision of the Equipment Yard Manager, the Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for performing assembly, installation, repair, maintaining rack and pinion personnel and material hoist and elevators (Buck Hoist).
  • In addition to performing maintenance the specialist will assist in erecting and dismantling the hoist equipment.
  • All work will be done in compliance with EPA, Hazmat, National Electric Code and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
  • Work is a combination of office and field environments involving various types of conditions encountered in an equipment yard and construction sites including exposure to outside weather and differing field conditions.


​Duties:

  • Perform maintenance on the Personnel and Material Hoist as necessary.
  • Erect and Dismantle Personnel and Material Hoist on customer job sites, (travel required).
  • Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
  • Complete inspections and certification testing of hoist.
  • Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol.
  • Complete maintenance, certification and travel reports timely and accurately.


​Requirements:


  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Pass a motor vehicle report review and be able to meet MAX Hoist  driving policy (no major driving violations in the previous 3 years)
  • Physically capable of lifting 100 pounds unassisted.
  • Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including drills, impact wrenches, cutting torches, welders, fork lifts and small hand tools.
  • General understanding of variable frequency drives, electric brake motors, VFW drives, 480-3 volt phase and basic electrical limit switches and controls.
  • Other required skills include but not limited to: ability to install, connect, test, maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems.
  • Able to work with blueprints when installing electrical systems into various structures.
  • Experience in commercial electrical installation and capable of troubleshooting a normal electrical system
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.  Computer skills, e-mail and excel worksheets.
  • Able to work well with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures.
  • Ability to travel to out of state job sites and pass security clearances to government job sites.
